After the death of his father, meek Jason finds an outlet for his anxiety and an unknown talent when he joins the Christian Puppet Ministry in the devoutly religious, relatively quiet small town of Cypress, Texas. Jason’s complicated relationships with the town pastor, the school bully, the girl next door, and most especially—his mother are thrown into upheaval when Jason’s puppet, Tyrone, takes on a shocking and dangerously irreverent personality all its own. A perpetually hysterical romp to hell and back, Hand To God’s exploration of the ideas of faith, morality, and human nature will leave you sore with laughter.

The Noon Concert Series is a highly popular series of free performances presented Friday at the noon hour during the Fall and Spring semesters, featuring an interesting and diverse range of performances, including solo and chamber recitals, large group concerts, and lecture/recitals.

Tickets are not required for this free event. All performances are held in Bedford Concert Hall. Free parking is available in Lots B & C. Noon concerts are not ticketed. Seating is first-come, first-serve.

Jon Proudstar was born in Tucson, Arizona, is an American film actor, film & comic book writer, and director. He is the creator of the first all Native Super hero comic Tribal Force. Jon is currently featured in the FX show, Reservation Dogs. Jon will join us virtually to have a conversation where we will hear about his experience as an actor, what challenges he faced on his path, the developmental opportunities that helped him in his career, and the advice he has for students. You can attend this event in person or via Zoom (see link below). Light refreshments will be served at the in-person event location.
