Instructors at UW-Parkside have access to multiple internal funding opportunities as well as external funds through the Office of Research Administration, Grants & Contracts.
Internal Grants and Funding Opportunities
Faculty and Academic Staff Professional Opportunities Fund (FASPOF)
- Supports faculty and instructional academic staff in sharing their research and creative activities through conferences, performances, publication, etc., and also supports continuing education related to professional activities.
- Applications are accepted and approved on a rolling basis but must be received before the start of travel or the professional activity being funded. Maximum annual award is $1,000.

Committee on Research and Creative Activity (CRCA)
- Supports faculty in pursuing their research and creative activities, including, but not limited to, costs associated with conducting research or showing creative work, equipment and supplies, and travel expenses.
- Applications must be received at least one week in advance of the committee’s regularly scheduled meetings and must be received before the start of travel or the professional activity being funded. Maximum annual award is $1,000.

Academic Staff Professional Development Fund (ASPDF)
- Supports academic staff in ongoing professional development by funding conference and training costs.
- Applications must be received at least one week in advance of the committee’s regularly scheduled meetings and must be received before the start of travel or the professional activity being funded. Maximum annual award is $1,000.

External Grants
The UW-Parkside Office of Sponsored Programs supports Parkside employees in pursuing, submitting, and managing external grants in the pre and post award phases.
WiSys is a non-profit supporting organization of the UW System and offers funding opportunities and support for innovation, patenting, and bringing new ideas to the market.
Our WiSys Manager of Research Development provides Parkside employees with support in finding funding opportunities, reviewing proposal elements, and facilitating collaborations within the UW System. She also provides professional development related to grant seeking.
