Fellowships
Wisconsin Teaching Fellows & Scholars
Sponsored by the Office of Professional Instructional Development (OPID) at UW-System, the Wisconsin Teaching Fellows & Scholars (WTFS) program brings together faculty and instructional academic staff from across the UW System to engage in the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL). This year-long program will provide you with the time, support, and resources to systematically reflect with peers in a supportive and open-minded community and to ultimately produce a SoTL project related to your interests.
The WTFS program generally entails four scheduled events throughout the year. UW-Parkside will provide a $4,000 summer stipend and cover your travel, lodging, and meals. Scholars and Fellows will also receive $500 in Supplies & Expenses from UW System’s OPID to support their SoTL work. Participants should demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning, as well as an intellectual curiosity, spirit of collegiality, and commitment to the success of all students.
Parkside’s WTFS selection process, organized by CEITL and the Committee on Teaching & Learning, occurs annually in the fall semester. Fellows and Scholars begin their work in the summer following their selection and conclude the program in the following spring semester.
