Through this degree, you will acquire a solid understanding of financial and monetary economics. You will gain the ability to apply tools of economic analysis to the workings of the financial and banking sectors of the economy.
The Financial Economics associate of science degree follows a prescriptive pathway through general education requirements and basic skills courses. After completing this degree you will have a significant amount of coursework that can be directly applied toward a bachelor's degree in either economics, business management, accounting, marketing, or a number of other majors.

Financial Economics (AS) graduates develop valuable analytical skills and knowledge. According to PayScale's 2016-017 College Salary Report on "Highest Paying Associate Degrees by Salary Potential," an economics associate degree has the second highest salary potential, behind computer engineering (1), but ahead of management information systems (3), electrical engineering (4), and nursing (17).
