Sign in to GiveCampus and Become An Advocate. Below is a timeline to help you stay on track throughout the campaign! You can always reach out to us with questions! 

• Now: Spread the word.
  • Promote and share your passion for your cause with your network and potential donors. Every gift makes a difference! Donors can be students, faculty/staff, or alumni. ANYONE who cares about your Parkside affinity.

• Monday, April 7: Let the Giving Begin!

  • Create a video post for your social media networks.

  • Make a gift! 

  • When you make a gift, tell your fellow Rangers and encourage them to join. 

  • Attend on-campus events.

• Tuesday, April 8: Parkside Day is here!

  • Tell your friends directly.

  • Post pictures, short movies, or challenges to your friends via social media, email, or phone calls.

  • Watch the landing page ticker as we reach our overarching goal. You can monitor your fundraising success as they are ranked throughout the day and watch for who is striving to be the most successful fundraiser of the day.

  • Stay tuned to the social media outlets listed in this toolkit.

  • Follow and repost our messages or use the examples provided.

• Wednesday, April 9: Parkside Day Thank You!

  • Share a thank you with your network. 

  • Keep an eye out for the thank you video from Parkside socials. 

Engage your followers on social media by putting together creative content. It’s as easy as taking a photo related to your UW-Parkside experience, giving a quick testimony or even asking other Parkside supporters to get involved.

Tips & Tricks:

• Donor outreach is best when it is sincere, energetic and creative! 
• Send potential donors by using your advocate link in Give Campus. 
• Stay tuned to the social media outlets so you can share and promote the ongoing messages from UW-Parkside and UW-Parkside Athletics.

Not sure what to say? Here's a guide to talk about Parkside Day:

• UW-Parkside is excited to host Parkside Day! Parkside Day is 24 hours of giving, giving back, and Ranger pride through gifts, volunteerism, and alumni pride.
• During this exciting fundraising event, we ask all Parkside alumni, supporters, and friends to be supporters for Parkside Day!
• All gifts can be directed towards the college, team, program, area, or fund of your choice.
• What makes this so different? Every gift made during Parkside Day makes an even bigger impact!
• We have a number of challenges and matching grants running throughout the event as well as “Power Hours” that will boost participation in specific areas or funds. These challenges and matching grants maximize a donor’s impact. There will be on-campus events and giveaways for students, faculty, staff, and friends!
• We ask the Parkside community to come together and show its support by helping share out our message with easy-to-use buttons provided on our giving page. Don’t forget to follow the UW-Parkside's social media pages to stay updated on the event.

Parkside Day is a 24-hour celebration of giving, giving back, and Ranger pride. All alumni, family, faculty/staff, and friends of UW-Parkside are welcome and encouraged to participate in this annual fundraising event. Our goal is to engage as many Parkside supporters as possible in raising funds for scholarships and programs that are critical to our university. Many gifts and actions lead to a big impact!

Early giving began in March, and gifts until April 8 11:59 pm will count in our Parkside Day totals.  
Your gift after April 8 11:59 pm will make a difference for UW-Parkside students… but it will not count for Parkside Day. 
 

Of course! On the Parkside Day giving form, choose your first designation. Then click “+ Add Another” to add up to 5 designations on your gift. 

Please contact the UW-Parkside Development office: development@uwp.edu or 262-595-2404. We’ll make sure that your gift is credited correctly and counts in the Parkside Day totals. 

• Give by check: Please send your gift with enough advance time to reach us by April 8! Make the check payable to UW-Parkside Foundation and include a note telling us how to direct your gift.

Yes! Your gift is tax-deductible, and your email receipt can be used for tax purposes. The UW-Parkside Foundation’s tax identification number is 39-1522072. 

Generous donors are offering matching gifts and giving challenges to encourage others to make a Parkside Day donation. These opportunities double the amount of support for a project or “unlock” additional funds once a goal is reached. Watch for more matches to go live on Parkside Day!
