UW-Parkside Welcomes Devon Borst as Vice Chancellor for Advancement and Community Partnerships

Devon BorstThe University of Wisconsin-Parkside is excited to announce the appointment of Devon Borst as the new Vice Chancellor for Advancement and Community Partnerships.

Borst officially joined the university Aug. 19, bringing with him nearly two decades of experience in philanthropy and community engagement, particularly within the Kenosha and Racine areas. In his new role, Borst will be responsible for leading the university’s efforts in philanthropy, alumni relations, corporate partnerships, and community engagement. His work will focus on securing vital philanthropic support, fostering strong relationships with alumni, and enhancing the university's impact across the region.

Borst has a distinguished career, having held key leadership positions at the Shalom Center of the Interfaith Network, Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare, Ascension All Saints Foundation, and Ascension Wisconsin Foundation.

A proud UW-Parkside alumnus, Borst has a significant personal connection to the university as well as deep roots in the community.

"His experience, dedication, and passion for UW-Parkside will be instrumental as we strengthen our ties with alumni and community partners, secure essential philanthropic support, and amplify the positive impact our university has on the region."

Borst also expressed his enthusiasm for returning to his alma mater. "I’m deeply honored and incredibly proud to return to UW-Parkside in this role," said Borst. "This university isn’t just where I earned my degree—it’s where I discovered my passion for giving back to the community. The experiences I had here as a student shaped who I am today. I’m excited to now have the opportunity to help shape the future of UW-Parkside, working with our alumni and community partners to ensure that current and future students can benefit from the same opportunities that meant so much to me."
