James Crowley, Music Department

Composer James Crowley (associate professor of music) was commissioned to compose a new work for the East Coast guitar/bass duo Dez Cordas, which premiered the new work entitled "Pilgrimage" in March. Dez Cordas will bring the new piece to UW-Parkside for its Midwest premiere at a noon recital Friday, Oct. 3, 2014. In addition, Crowley's wind-ensemble work "Tombeau" was performed April 12 at Concordia University Wisconsin, and will be presented by the UW-Parkside Wind Ensemble and Community Band Thursday, May 8, in Bedford Hall conducted by Mark Eichner.
