Position Title: IT Professional III
Employment Type: Full Time, Academic Staff, Exempt Professional
Reports To: IT Director
Full Time Pay Range: $60,000 - $70,000/Annually
Job Summary: Reporting to the Director of IT, this position provides multidisciplinary information technology (IT) services to support complex IT functionality according to work unit or program's business goals and objectives.
Essential Job Functions

Answers complex questions and provides information, creates documentation, and trains end users regarding hardware, software, applications, and technology access

Installs, maintains, and troubleshoots hardware, configurations, multimedia, and software applications for various environments and business needs

May design and execute the implementation of complex technology systems and services

Researches potential technology purchases and makes recommendations according to work unit business needs and requests
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
-
A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
-
Experience in Higher Ed setting
-
1-3 years experience in A/V(Audio/Visual)
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Lab and classroom management experience
-
Experience with Lecture Capture software and hardware
-
Proven ability to work independently as well as collaborate with staff and faculty
-
Experience working with A/V hardware/software procurement, installation and troubleshooting
Physical Demands of the Job:
- Ability to remain seated or stand for extended periods while performing IT-related tasks, such as troubleshooting, installation, or user training.
- Capability to lift and transport technology hardware and equipment, such as computers, monitors, and A/V equipment, weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Dexterity to handle small tools and components during hardware repairs or installations.
- Visual acuity to read technical manuals, schematics, and monitor displays.
- Manual dexterity to type, use a mouse, and operate IT and multimedia equipment efficiently.
- Ability to crawl, kneel, or crouch to access equipment located under desks, in server rooms, or within confined spaces.
- Mobility to move between various campus locations to provide on-site IT and A/V support.
- Hearing acuity to effectively communicate with end-users, diagnose audio issues, and collaborate with team members.
- Flexibility to adapt to varied work environments, including classrooms, labs, offices, and multimedia spaces.
