Position Title: Administrative Specialist

Employment Type: Full Time Academic Staff Appointment

Reports To: The Director of Professional and Continuing Education

Full Time Pay Range: $55,000 - $63,000

The Administrative Specialist is a critical role within the Professional and Continuing Education (PCE) department, ensuring efficient financial management and operational support. Reporting to the Director of Professional and Continuing Education, this position is ideal for professionals who enjoy a collaborative and dynamic work environment where financial planning, budget oversight, and administrative coordination intersect.

This is an exciting opportunity for professionals with strong financial acumen, analytical thinking, and administrative expertise who want to grow professionally and contribute to the success of continuing education and lifelong learning programs.


Essential Job Functions
  • Assists, recommends, and advises director and staff on financial and HR related tasks
  • Analyze data and trends
  • Implements and executes established operational policies and procedures 
  • Schedule logistics and secure resources 
  • Contribute to the day-to-day unit operations
  • Annual and quarterly budget reports
  • Serves on committees and attends meetings, representing the interests of the PCE unit 
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum three years of administrative and financial management experience.
  • Experience managing department budget and grants

The ideal candidate will also have experience with Workday, CRM experience or similar technology platforms, and experience presenting to leadership and partners. 

Professional and Continuing Education is department within the university providing lifelong learning opportunities for professionals, adult learners, and community members.
