The Outlook for the 2024 Elections in Wisconsin and the Nation

Charles Franklin
Professor of Law and Public Policy at Marquette Law School
Director, Marquette Law School Poll

With the presidential and congressional elections looming very soon, what are the state and national forces that are shaping the elections? How has the nomination of Vice President Kamala Harris in place of President Joe Biden changed the race? How do voters see former President Donald Trump and vice-presidential nominee JD Vance? How are the economy, immigration, presidential approval, and other issues likely to push the elections in the favor of one party or the other?  At the state level, how is the US Senate race seen by the public? The Marquette Law School polls of Wisconsin and national voters help understand were we are, how we got here, and what to watch in the run-up to the November elections.
