UW-Parkside to Honor Eight Alumni at the Distinguished Alumni Awards
Kenosha, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Parkside is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2023-2024 Distinguished Alumni Awards. Eight outstanding alumni will be honored at a ceremony on Friday, May 31 from 5-8 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom. The honorees were nominated and selected for their achievements, service, professional success in their field and their exemplary service to the community.
The 2023-2024 UW-Parkside Distinguished Alumni Award recipients are:
- Ms. Giovanna Gutierrez ‘13 (Kenosha, Wisconsin)
- Mr. James Neibaur ‘88 (Racine, Wisconsin)
- Ms. Jasmine M. Johnson '03 (Oak Creek, Wisconsin)
- Mr. John C. Prostko '95 (Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin)
- Dr. Kathleen Nichols D.D.S. ‘82 (Lubbock, Texas)
- Mr. Mark Behl '92 (Reno, Nevada)
- Ms. Patricia Heller '80 (Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin)
- Mr. Jerome Garrett Jr. ‘05 (Oregon, WI)

UW-Parkside invites the public to attend and join us in celebrating our accomplished alumni. The event begins with a reception and networking session from 5-5:30 p.m., a dinner from 5:30-6:30 p.m., and the award ceremony from 6:30-8 p.m. Admission is $50 per person. Register by May 22 here.
