The mission of the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs is to holistically support underrepresented students in their success while fostering a culture of belonging, recognition, and equity at UW-Parkside.

The office strives to develop students to lead authentically and contribute to a socially just society.

EVENTS
Monthly Cultural Celebrations
The contributions and accomplishments of African Americans, Latinx, Native American, and Southeast Asians are honored and celebrated. Understanding of diverse communities is an important part of the collegiate experience at Parkside.
Multicultural Professional Dialogues (MPD) Series
Multicultural Professional Dialogues are career development sessions that provide guidance, preparation, and opportunities for multicultural students to meet their career potential. Participants will build their career readiness skills and focus on understanding one’s unique, cultural lens in navigating diverse work environments. Read more.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration
The Office of Multicultural Student Affairs, the Music Department, and the Center for Leadership and Personalized Studies honor the lifelong legacy and leadership of Dr. King through an annual celebration.

The OMSA Excellence Annual Scholarship was created during OMSA’s 40-year celebration in 2023. In alignment with the mission of the office, this scholarship will assist in the recruitment and retention of students at UW-Parkside. In order to award this scholarship on an annual basis, we seek to raise $2,000.00 each year. We hope you will join us in meeting our annual fundraising goal with a gift to the scholarship.
