Freshwater Resources Certificate

Want to get your feet wet? The Freshwater Resources certificate is an option for students to test the waters and expand their credentials. Freshwater is one of our most critical natural resources and training in freshwater can complement a variety of majors and degree plans to create career opportunities across many fields including, ecology, natural resources, communication, economics, policy, and education.

The Freshwater Resources certificate integrates with learning opportunities (courses, field trips, and internships) offered through the Freshwater Collaborative of Wisconsin – a UW-System-wide initiative that aims to inspire and train the next generation of water professionals for Wisconsin and the world. Courses offered through the Freshwater Collaborative of Wisconsin can apply toward completion of the Freshwater Resources certificate.

Prepare for your freshwater future through engaging courses that feature social, political, and ecological aspects of freshwater locally, nationally, and globally.

UW-Parkside is a member of the Freshwater Collaborative of Wisconsin, a partnership that provides students with opportunities for water-related coursework, hands-on experiences, internships and research opportunities at campuses throughout the UW System. Learn more at freshwater.wisconsin.edu.
