Message from the Chancellor
Welcome to “Parkside: The Magazine.” It’s always exciting – and important – to keep you up to date on the amazing accomplishments of UW-Parkside students, faculty, staff, and – of course – alumni. Watch for “Parkside: The Magazine” during the spring and fall semesters.
Will UW-Parkside alumni ever travel to Mars?
Research going on today led by Assistant Professor of Chemistry and UW-Parkside alumnus Dr. Daryl Sauer ’84 with UW-Parkside undergraduate science students may make that incredible journey a reality.
Around the World
UW-Parkside choir students, alumni, and faculty members Dr. James Kinchen, Dr. Xun Wang and Russ Johnson, traveled to China as part of the “Two Worlds, One Art” exchange with Jianghan University.
Theatre Arts students and faculty members were part of The Fringe Theatre and Arts Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland, presenting Wisconsin playwright Marie Kohler’s “Boswell."
Last year, during our 50 Years Celebration, a great many of you returned to campus for concerts, shows, Parkside Athletics, lectures, and more. This year, we’re 51! The celebration continues! There are more reasons than ever to visit your campus. I look forward to seeing you soon.
Debbie Ford
Chancellor
