UW-Parkside Offers SHRM Essentials of Human Resources Workshop in November
Kenosha, Wis.- The University of Wisconsin-Parkside Professional and Continuing Education office, in partnership with The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), will offer a SHRM Essentials of Human Resources workshop on Nov. 2 and Nov. 3 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. It will be held in Tallent Hall, Room 201 and there will be a Zoom option for hybrid participants.
This SHRM Essentials of Human Resources course covers the topics needed to meet key HR challenges that are relevant to companies today. In less than 20 hours, the course will cover the issues needed to reduce potentially costly lawsuits. There are no prerequisites for this course, but it is intended for those working in HR and Employee Management. SHRM is the world’s largest association and leading advocate for HR professionals.
Because HR can be a moving target, this course arms supervisors and managers with basic HR skills to prepare them for the day-to-day challenges of interacting with staff members. Developed by leading HR experts, HR practitioners, and legal counsel, the SHRM Essentials of Human Resources course covers introductory HR topics in a condensed, easy-to-understand format. The straightforward format ensures that HR concepts can be mastered and applied to real-life situations.
This program combines expert instruction with the SHRM Essentials of Human Resources, allowing students to learn faster and retain more knowledge to accelerate their future in HR.
